Mareekh Dynamics is proud to announce incorporation of our joint venture - Craterhab Chile - in South America with our Latam partners.

Earlier this year, we started consultations on the application of our proprietary pressurized habitat system (The Craterhab) designed for Martian surface conditions, in high-altitude hypobaric environments such as mining operations in the Andes, South America, above 3,500m altitude. Miners working as such altitudes are subjected to altitude hypoxia which adversely affects their stamina and performance in the short term, and causes long term or permanent changes in their physiology such as pulmonary hypertension, thickening of the blood, and structural changes in the heart. This compensatory changes affect these workers' health and well being, and reduce their life expectancy. This reflects in a less than ideal financial performance of such high altitude mines.

Mining engineers Alejandro Ferrada of Chile and Raul Carretero heeded our call and acknowledged the prevalent altitude hypoxia problem, and saw Craterhab concept as a promising solution to help mitigate it. They agreed to partner with Mareekh Dynamics to create a company in Chile - Craterhab Chile - solely to advocate the application of Craterhab concept habitat in high altitude mines in the Andes to improve workers' health, and develop a business case for improving the mining performance and production limited by human factors at such altitudes.

This is a significant step forward in achieving our mission of the application of Craterhab Technology - patented large-scale pressurized habitat systems for human sustenance in low pressure environments. Originally developed for human settlement on planet Mars, the Craterhab Technology sits at the confluence of space technology and modern remote medicine to address human physiological and psychological wellbeing in extreme environments. For this purpose, this highly scalable technology has a beautiful terrestrial application to help mitigate altitude hypoxia in unacclimatized or partially acclimatized humans subject to the thin and hypoxic atmosphere of the high-altitude regions such as mining operations in Andes, or high-altitude adventure tourism.

The objectives of Craterhab-Chile are:

- Advocating the introduction of Mareekh Dynamics' Craterhab Technology as a first use case in high altitude mines in the Andes to address and mitigate altitude hypoxia among miners.

- Operating the Craterhab Pilot Project at the participating mining sites in the Andes, in collaboration with local or international health partners specializing in high-altitude or remote medicine to develop KPIs to optimize the operational parameters of the Craterhab Technology.

- Managing the commercial use of the Craterhab Technology in high altitude mines in the Andes in Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Colombia.

- Expansion of the use of Craterhab Technology to include other industry areas including high-altitude tourism, remote medicine and public health, and training of astronauts in high altitude Mars analogue bases.

A handshake between the present and the future - an artistic impression of how a technology developed for human settlement on Mars can be used to combat altitude hypoxia and establishment of Mars analogue bases to prepare humanity to settle on Mars, going full circle.
